Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Photoshop CS: 84 by 50 inches, 300 DPI, RGB, square pixels, default gradient "Spectrum", mousedown y=2000 x=1000, mouseup y=2000 x=14000; tool "Wand", select y=14000 x=8720, tolerance=40, contiguous= off; default gradient "Spectrum", mousedown y=2400 by Cory Arcangel was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in November last year. The price achieved of HKD 1,134,000.00 (€ 140,720.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cory Arcangel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Photoshop CS: 110 by 72 inches, 300 DPI, RGB, square pixels, default gradient "Spectrum," mousedown y=31100 x=1500, mouse up y=32850 x=800, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 325,000.00 (€ 376,976.69).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.134.000,00 (€ 140.720,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden.
