Auction result well in line with expectations
In September last year Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Photoshop CS: 84 by 66 inches, 300 DPI, RGB, square pixels, default gradient "Blue, Red, Yellow", mousedown y=2300 x=8600, mouseup y=2600 x=8600 by Cory Arcangel. The price achieved of USD 44,100.00 (€ 45,078.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cory Arcangel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Photoshop CS: 110 by 72 inches, 300 DPI, RGB, square pixels, default gradient "Spectrum," mousedown y=31100 x=1500, mouse up y=32850 x=800 in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 325,000.00 (€ 376,976.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Photoshop CS: 84 by 66 inches, 300 DPI, RGB, square pixels, default gradient "Blue, Red, Yellow", mousedown y=2300 x=8600, mouseup y=2600 x=8600 von Cory Arcangel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 45.078,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cory Arcangel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Photoshop CS: 110 by 72 inches, 300 DPI, RGB, square pixels, default gradient "Spectrum," mousedown y=31100 x=1500, mouse up y=32850 x=800 im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 325.000,00 (€ 376.976,69).
