Die Arbeit Dutch the Kerkgracht In Leiden von Cornelis Springer kam im Dezember 2016 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 106.250,00 (€ 124.223,49) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 52%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cornelis Springer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A View Of The Westerstraat In Enkhuizen In Summer im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.104.000,00.
