Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dutch the Carillon Tower In Edam by Cornelis Springer was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2017. The price achieved of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 53,454.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Springer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View Of The Westerstraat In Enkhuizen In Summer in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 1,104,000.00.
