Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A view of the Oosterkerk, Hoorn by Cornelis Springer was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 8,125.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Springer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View Of The Westerstraat In Enkhuizen In Summer in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 1,104,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A view of the Oosterkerk, Hoorn von Cornelis Springer im November 2016 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 8.125,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Springer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A View Of The Westerstraat In Enkhuizen In Summer im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.104.000,00.
