It achieved a price of EUR 5,250.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Saftleven achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A cat peeping through a fence in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 441,600.00 (€ 357,599.81).

Die Arbeit Three hooded Lanner falcons ( Falco biarmicus ) von Cornelis Saftleven kam im Mai 2015 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 5.250,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Saftleven erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A cat peeping through a fence im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 441.600,00 (€ 357.599,81).
