In February 2019 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Art, which included the work Le Marché Aux Bovins by Cornelis Saftleven. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 20,800.00 73% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Saftleven achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A cat peeping through a fence in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 441,600.00 (€ 357,599.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 73 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2019 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Marché Aux Bovins von Cornelis Saftleven zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 20.800,00 und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Saftleven erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A cat peeping through a fence im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 441.600,00 (€ 357.599,81).
