In December 2014 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work The Interior Of A Kitchen by Cornelis Saftleven. The result of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,574.66) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Saftleven achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A cat peeping through a fence in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 441,600.00 (€ 357,599.81).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Interior Of A Kitchen von Cornelis Saftleven zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.574,66) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Saftleven erzielen.
