The work A hoard of creatures with the Seven Deadly Sins, before a tavern by Cornelis Saftleven was worth GBP 110,500.00 (€ 151,741.98) to a buyer in April 2015. This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Paintings at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelis Saftleven - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A cat peeping through a fence, which sold at auction in May 2005 for USD 441,600.00 (€ 357,599.81).

Die Arbeit A hoard of creatures with the Seven Deadly Sins, before a tavern von Cornelis Saftleven war einem Käufer im April 2015 GBP 110.500,00 (€ 151.741,98) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings bei Christies in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Saftleven mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A cat peeping through a fence beobachtet, die im Mai 2005 für USD 441.600,00 (€ 357.599,81) versteigert wurde.
