Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings, which included the work A Figure Seen From Behind, Holding An Object In His Left Hand by Cornelis Saftleven. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 14,176.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Saftleven achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A cat peeping through a fence in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 441,600.00 (€ 357,599.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Figure Seen From Behind, Holding An Object In His Left Hand von Cornelis Saftleven zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 14.176,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Saftleven erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A cat peeping through a fence im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 441.600,00 (€ 357.599,81).
