In September 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Kittens on a cushion by Cornelis Raaphorst. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 900.00 29% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Raaphorst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bird Cage in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 15,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 29 % übertroffen
Im September 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kittens on a cushion von Cornelis Raaphorst zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 900,00 und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Raaphorst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Bird Cage im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.600,00.
