Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Playful kittens by Cornelis Raaphorst for EUR 1,250.00. This price was achieved in the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Raaphorst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bird Cage in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 15,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Playful kittens von Cornelis Raaphorst für EUR 1.250,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Raaphorst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Bird Cage im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.600,00.
