Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cute kittens by Cornelis Raaphorst was sold in the Pictures Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Cornelis Raaphorst have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Bird Cage in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 15,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cute kittens von Cornelis Raaphorst wurde im September 2007 in der Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cornelis Raaphorst auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Bird Cage im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.600,00.
