Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters including Old Master & British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work A Fiddler And Peasants Drinking And Carousing Outside A Village Inn by Cornelis Dusart. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,100.38) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelis Dusart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Village Fair With Dancing In The Street, which sold at auction in July 2019 for GBP 68,750.00 (€ 75,482.93).
