Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Lady, Said To Be Marie De Batarny, Half Length, Wearing Black With White Sleeves And A Black Bonnet by Corneille de Lyon was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 110,500.00 (€ 126,265.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Corneille de Lyon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of a merchant, traditionally identified as Theodore Beza (1519-1605) in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 665,000.00 (€ 777,492.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Said To Be Marie De Batarny, Half Length, Wearing Black With White Sleeves And A Black Bonnet von Corneille de Lyon kam im Juli 2013 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion.
