Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2014 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Art Contemporain, which included the work Souvenir De Sousse by Constant. The price achieved of EUR 97,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Constant have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Femme Oiseau in December 2011 with an auction result of EUR 432,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2014 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Art Contemporain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Souvenir De Sousse von Constant zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 97.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Constant auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Femme Oiseau im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 432.750,00.
