Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam, which included the work Moeder aap met kind (Mother Monkey with Baby) by Constant. The price achieved of EUR 10,080.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Constant achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme Oiseau in December 2011 with an auction result of EUR 432,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam durch, in der auch die Arbeit Moeder aap met kind (Mother Monkey with Baby) von Constant zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 10.080,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Constant erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme Oiseau im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 432.750,00.
