Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2010 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations, which included the work Ducks on the waterfront by Constant Artz. It changed hands for a price of EUR 3,250.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Constant Artz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ducks and ducklings along the waterside, which sold at auction in January 2002 for EUR 11,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2010 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ducks on the waterfront von Constant Artz zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 3.250,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Constant Artz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ducks and ducklings along the waterside beobachtet, die im Januar 2002 für EUR 11.750,00 versteigert wurde.
