Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Conroy Maddox achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in November this year. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Deceptive Arcade sold for GBP 9,600.00 (€ 11,124.31) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Conroy Maddox have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Poltergeist in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 56,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Conroy Maddox erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Deceptive Arcade für GBP 9.600,00 (€ 11.124,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Conroy Maddox auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Poltergeist im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 56.250,00.
