In July this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Reverie by Conroy Maddox. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,536.00 (€ 1,792.05), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Conroy Maddox achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poltergeist in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 56,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Reverie von Conroy Maddox zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.536,00 (€ 1.792,05) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Conroy Maddox erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poltergeist im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 56.250,00.
