Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Conrad Leigh could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work The Drumhorse Hannibal And Band of The Life Guardsman In State Dress changed hands for GBP 240.00 (€ 352.59) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Conrad Leigh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Procession of the Royal Horse Guards, which sold at auction in February 2007 for GBP 780.00 (€ 1,156.32).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Conrad Leigh konnte im November 2005 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures wechselte die Arbeit The Drumhorse Hannibal And Band of The Life Guardsman In State Dress für GBP 240,00 (€ 352,59) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Conrad Leigh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Procession of the Royal Horse Guards beobachtet, die im Februar 2007 für GBP 780,00 (€ 1.156,32) versteigert wurde.
