Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Clyde Aspevig could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Spring Roundup changed hands for USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,559.15) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Clyde Aspevig have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mesa Vista Moon Rise in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 53,661.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Clyde Aspevig konnte im April 2012 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit Spring Roundup für USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.559,15) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Clyde Aspevig auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mesa Vista Moon Rise im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 53.661,89).
