Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Time for Grieg 16 x 20 in. framed 22 1/2 x 26 1/2 in. by Clyde Aspevig was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,287.50 (€ 8,028.19), 18% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Clyde Aspevig have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mesa Vista Moon Rise in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 53,661.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Time for Grieg 16 x 20 in. framed 22 1/2 x 26 1/2 in. von Clyde Aspevig wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.287,50 (€ 8.028,19) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Clyde Aspevig auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mesa Vista Moon Rise im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 53.661,89).
