Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work In Rugged Country by Clyde Aspevig for USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,448.94). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Clyde Aspevig have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mesa Vista Moon Rise in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 53,661.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit In Rugged Country von Clyde Aspevig für USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.448,94) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Clyde Aspevig auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mesa Vista Moon Rise im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 53.661,89).
