Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Clive Head achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2011. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Prague, Midday sold for GBP 32,450.00 (€ 37,241.23) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Clive Head; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Inverness Terrace sold at auction in July 2014 with the realized price of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 59,912.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Clive Head erzielte im Juli 2011 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wurde die Arbeit Prague, Midday für GBP 32.450,00 (€ 37.241,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Clive Head; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Inverness Terrace im Juli 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 59.912,43).
