Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Clouds over the Moskva River by Clive Head was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,648.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Clive Head have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Inverness Terrace in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 59,912.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Clouds over the Moskva River von Clive Head kam im September 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.648,30) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Clive Head auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Inverness Terrace im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 59.912,43).
