Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cologne by Clive Head was sold in the Modern British & Irish Art auction at Christies in London in July 2015. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 17,720.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Clive Head - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Inverness Terrace, which sold at auction in July 2014 for GBP 47,500.00 (€ 59,912.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cologne von Clive Head wurde im Juli 2015 in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 17.720,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Clive Head mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Inverness Terrace beobachtet, die im Juli 2014 für GBP 47.500,00 (€ 59.912,43) versteigert wurde.
