Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Clive Barker could be acquired at Sothebys in London in March 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Two Violins changed hands for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,952.22) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clive Barker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Coke with Two Straws in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 49,348.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Clive Barker konnte im März 2020 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Made in Britain wechselte die Arbeit Two Violins für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 3.952,22) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clive Barker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Coke with Two Straws im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 49.348,67).
