Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Still Life, Lobster & 3 Figs by Clive Barker. The price achieved of GBP 1,792.00 (€ 2,076.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clive Barker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Coke with Two Straws in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 49,348.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life, Lobster & 3 Figs von Clive Barker zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.792,00 (€ 2.076,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clive Barker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Coke with Two Straws im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 49.348,67).
