Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian Washaway by Clifton Pugh was auctioned at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2007. The price achieved of AUD 2,400.00 (€ 1,435.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clifton Pugh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian A Feral Cat in April 2008 with an auction result of AUD 42,000.00 (€ 25,410.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Australian Washaway von Clifton Pugh kam im August 2007 bei Sothebys in Melbourne zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 2.400,00 (€ 1.435,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clifton Pugh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian A Feral Cat im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 42.000,00 (€ 25.410,97).
