Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian Sea Of Grass by Clifton Pugh was sold in the Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2007. The price achieved of AUD 13,200.00 (€ 7,893.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 12,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Clifton Pugh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian A Feral Cat, which sold at auction in April 2008 for AUD 42,000.00 (€ 25,410.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Australian Sea Of Grass von Clifton Pugh wurde im August 2007 in der Auktion Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 13.200,00 (€ 7.893,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 12.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Clifton Pugh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australian A Feral Cat beobachtet, die im April 2008 für AUD 42.000,00 (€ 25.410,97) versteigert wurde.
