Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2009 Sothebys in Doha held the auction A Collection of Orientalist Art, which included the work Spanish The Antique Seller by Clément Pujol de Guastavino. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 45,000.00 (€ 33,934.09). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Clément Pujol de Guastavino - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spanish An Audience Before The Emir, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 157,000.00 (€ 100,847.89).
