In December 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online | New York, which included the work Bread by Claudio Bravo. The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,267.75) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claudio Bravo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Paper in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,385,000.00 (€ 1,259,778.06).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bread von Claudio Bravo zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.267,75) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Claudio Bravo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red Paper im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.385.000,00 (€ 1.259.778,06).
