Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Suffolk: A windmill near Bungay by Claude Grahame Muncaster for GBP 59.75 (€ 84.56). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Watercolours including Original Book at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claude Grahame Muncaster achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Off Trinidad in February 2019 with an auction result of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,333.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Suffolk: A windmill near Bungay von Claude Grahame Muncaster für GBP 59,75 (€ 84,56) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours including Original Book bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Claude Grahame Muncaster erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Off Trinidad im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.333,07).
