In December 2019 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Prints, which included the work La fuite en Egypte; and two others by Claude Gellée. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,602.80), 63% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claude Gellée achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Mediterranean Port At Sunrise With The Embarkation Of Saint Paula For Jerusalem in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 4,450,000.00 (€ 5,352,659.84).
