Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claude Gellée achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Mediterranean Port At Sunrise With The Embarkation Of Saint Paula For Jerusalem in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 4,450,000.00 (€ 5,352,659.84).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.097,04) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Claude Gellée erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Mediterranean Port At Sunrise With The Embarkation Of Saint Paula For Jerusalem im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.450.000,00 (€ 5.352.659,84).
