Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Bouvier by Claude Gellée was sold in the Old Master Prints auction at Christies in New York in January 2019. The price achieved of USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,910.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claude Gellée achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Mediterranean Port At Sunrise With The Embarkation Of Saint Paula For Jerusalem in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 4,450,000.00 (€ 5,352,659.84).

Die Arbeit Le Bouvier von Claude Gellée wurde im Januar 2019 in der Auktion Old Master Prints bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.910,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden.
