Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Sothebys in Paris held the auction Living Contemporary, which included the work David Bowie, Paris by Claude Gassian. The price achieved of EUR 1,890.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Claude Gassian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Freddie Mercury, Paris 1984 in March 2021 with an auction result of EUR 11,970.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Living Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit David Bowie, Paris von Claude Gassian zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.890,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Claude Gassian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Freddie Mercury, Paris 1984 im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 11.970,00.
