Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a gentleman, half-length, in a black gown, with a white chemise and white collar by Christoffel Pierson was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2014. The price achieved of EUR 9,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christoffel Pierson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A trompe l'oeil of hunting equipment in October 2001 with an auction result of USD 143,500.00 (€ 159,568.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman, half-length, in a black gown, with a white chemise and white collar von Christoffel Pierson kam im Mai 2014 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion.
