In the 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART auction, the work A meditative moment sold for EUR 4,182.50 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,200.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Christoffel Bisschop; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Dutch Rembrandt On His Way To The Anatomical Lesson Of Dr. Tulp sold at auction in October 2008 with the realized price of EUR 8,125.00.
