This artwork by Christian Friedrich Zincke achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2020. In the Old Master and British Works on Paper, including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection auction, the work Portrait of a lady, traditionally identified as Lady Ennismore, circa 1720 sold for GBP 2,394.00 (€ 2,674.31) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christian Friedrich Zincke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Four important enamel miniatures set in a Fine George II Enamel and Gold Portrait Box with hinged lid and base, the concave sides chased with reeded c-scrolls and shellwork on a frosted gold ground and enamelled en basse-taille with leaves in translu in April 2002 with an auction result of GBP 56,400.00 (

Dieses Kunstwerk von Christian Friedrich Zincke erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper, including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection wurde die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, traditionally identified as Lady Ennismore, circa 1720 für GBP 2.394,00 (€ 2.674,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christian Friedrich Zincke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Four important enamel miniatures set in a Fine George II Enamel and Gold Portrait Box with hinged lid and base, the concave sides chased with reeded c-scrolls and shellwork on a frosted gold ground and enamelled en basse-taille with leaves in translu im April 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.400,00 (€ 91.253,72).
