Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As Henrietta Boyle (1646-1687) by Christian Friedrich Zincke was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2017. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,394.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christian Friedrich Zincke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Four important enamel miniatures set in a Fine George II Enamel and Gold Portrait Box with hinged lid and base, the concave sides chased with reeded c-scrolls and shellwork on a frosted gold ground and enamelled en basse-taille with leaves in translu in April 2002 with an auction result of GBP 56,400.00 (
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Four important enamel miniatures set in a Fine George II Enamel and Gold Portrait Box with hinged lid and base, the concave sides chased with reeded c-scrolls and shellwork on a frosted gold ground and enamelled en basse-taille with leaves in translu im April 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.400,00 (€ 91.253,72).
