Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Christian Frederic Eckardt could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in February 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction, the work Danish a Frigate And Other Ships On A Calm Sea changed hands for USD 3,500.00 (€ 2,866.27) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christian Frederic Eckardt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Danish Morning In The Bay Of Corfu in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 60,500.00 (€ 84,715.65).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Christian Frederic Eckardt konnte im Februar 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art wechselte die Arbeit Danish a Frigate And Other Ships On A Calm Sea für USD 3.500,00 (€ 2.866,27) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00.
