In the Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction, the work Danish a Frigate And Other Ships On A Calm Sea changed hands for USD 3,500.00 (€ 2,866.27) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christian Frederic Eckardt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Danish Morning In The Bay Of Corfu in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 60,500.00 (€ 84,715.65).
