Auction result fails to reach estimate
In January 2024 a collector was able to acquire the work Seascpae with sailing ships and a steamer in high waves by Christian Frederic Eckardt for DKK 2,300.00 (€ 2,010.14). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 4,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christian Frederic Eckardt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Danish Morning In The Bay Of Corfu in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 60,500.00 (€ 84,715.65).

Im Januar 2024 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Seascpae with sailing ships and a steamer in high waves von Christian Frederic Eckardt für DKK 2.300,00 (€ 2.010,14) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christian Frederic Eckardt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Danish Morning In The Bay Of Corfu im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.500,00 (€ 84.715,65).
