Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Lightness of Being by Chris Levine was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in London in December this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 12,160.00 (€ 14,007.85). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chris Levine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lightness Of Being, 2004 in April 2017 with an auction result of GBP 187,500.00 (€ 222,659.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Lightness of Being von Chris Levine wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 12.160,00 (€ 14.007,85) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chris Levine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lightness Of Being, 2004 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 187.500,00 (€ 222.659,48).
