Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian study For Sky (White Grey And Green) No. 1 by Chris Langlois was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 9,000.00 (€ 5,253.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Chris Langlois have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2003 the work The Ocean no. 11 was auctioned for AUD 9,400.00 (€ 5,553.07).
