Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2001 Christies in Sydney held the auction CONTEMPORARY ART, which included the work The Rain No. 32 by Chris Langlois. It changed hands for a price of AUD 8,812.50 (€ 5,115.90) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 7,500.00 – 9,000.00. Other works by Chris Langlois have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2003 the work The Ocean no. 11 was auctioned for AUD 9,400.00 (€ 5,553.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2001 führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion CONTEMPORARY ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Rain No. 32 von Chris Langlois zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 8.812,50 (€ 5.115,90) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 7.500,00 – 9.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Chris Langlois konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im August 2003 die Arbeit The Ocean no. 11 für AUD 9.400,00 (€ 5.553,07) versteigert.
