Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Painting of Hainan Street by Choo Keng Kwang was sold in the 20th Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November this year. The price achieved of HKD 151,200.00 (€ 17,742.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 220,000.00. Other works by Choo Keng Kwang have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2015 the work Arowana was auctioned for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 20,224.87).

Die Arbeit Painting of Hainan Street von Choo Keng Kwang wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 151.200,00 (€ 17.742,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 220.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Choo Keng Kwang konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2015 die Arbeit Arowana für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 20.224,87) versteigert.
