The work Peace by Choo Keng Kwang was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,248.62), 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Choo Keng Kwang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Arowana, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 20,224.87).

Die Arbeit Peace von Choo Keng Kwang wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.248,62) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Choo Keng Kwang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Arowana beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 20.224,87) versteigert wurde.
