A top price for Choo Keng Kwang - as previously expected
The work Arowana by Choo Keng Kwang was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. It changed hands for a price of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 20,224.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Arowana is the most expensive artwork by Choo Keng Kwang that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Arowana von Choo Keng Kwang kam im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 20.224,87) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Arowana das teuerste Kunstwerk von Choo Keng Kwang, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
